Duties/Responsibilities: Preparing journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations and assisting with monthly close processes. Manage the full accounts payable cycle from receipt of invoices to payment; including coding invoices, matching purchase orders, obtaining approval, and entering the invoices into the accounting system. Works closely with internal teams and external customers to ensure costs are controlled and accounted for properly. Works closely with Senior Accountant to track actuals vs. budget to ensure proper coding in the P&L and expense recognition in the correct period. Reports on significant variances to budget on other major expenses. Skills/Abilities: Thorough understanding of general accounting Intermediate proficiency with a strong emphasis on Microsoft Excel. Adherence to tight deadlines and quick turnaround for accounting deliverables. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, vendors, and associates. Strong organizational skills and the ability to develop and maintain an organized structure. Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment where adaptability is imperative. Accurate with a strong attention to detail. Strong written and oral communication skills. Previous experience using SAP is a plus. Education/Experience: Bachelors degree 3-5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
