SUMMARY:Responsible for tax compliance & research to various
entities with external tax consultant. Works on items such as:
federal, state & local tax return preparation, sales tax
submission, property tax review, tangible personal property taxes,
beverage taxes. Formation of new Entities, Tax ID's, and registers
corporations. Reviews business practices by state for tax exposure.
Drafts new LLC agreements. Prepares annual governance documents by
entity for compliance (BOD Minutes). Assists in tax return
preparation for various companies & shareholders including aircraft
use, classification of club dues, etc.Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:--- Federal, state & local tax preparation. Works
closely with outside tax consultant fo file taxes in a timely
manner.--- Submits and/or reviews sales tax submissions for
accuracy & completeness.--- Submits and/or reviews tangible
personal property returns for accuracy & completeness.--- Reviews
beverage tax submissions for accuracy & completeness.--- Formation
of new entities and new tax IDs (EINs) and registers new business
entities with states.--- Reviews business practices by entity and
state for best practices and tax exposure.--- Prepares annual
governance documents for compliance.--- Prepares quarterly tax
estimates.--- Prepares Unicap (uniform capitalization) studies as
needed.--- Drafts and prepares new LLC agreements.--- Maintains
Flight Tax system, procures proper documentation for aircraft
business use.--- Prepares fringe benefit calculation & assists in
proper classification of club dues.--- Responds to tax notices &
assists with annual financial audit (ASC 740-10).--- Reviews
charitable contribution classification & assists with
classification of shareholder expenses at various properties.---
Updates ownership flowchart when necessary.--- Works on asset sale
reconciliations between tax and book. Assists in reviewing purchase
price allocations. Reviews property purchase (HUD) statements and
determines proper tax treatment of expenditures.--- Properly
classifies property purchases under HUD.--- Prepares and distribute
trust accountings.--- Updates shareholder basis schedules.--- Works
collaboratively with outside accountants to ensure the timely
preparation of audit report and tax returns.--- Demonstrates J.J.
Taylor's core values and leads by example as an ambassador of the
company by supporting and enforcing company policies and
procedures.--- Proactively addresses issues affecting team,
including performance management issues, and constructively solves
problems.--- Responsible for reinforcing safe work practices and
ensuring compliance with the safety policies and reports all
accidents or injuries immediately to the HR Administrator who will
request an accident investigation.Additional Duties and

Experience:--- Bachelor's degree in Accounting & CPA required,
master's degree a plus.--- Minimum of 4-5 years experience as tax
accountant desired.--- Valid driver's license and acceptable
driving record required.--- Extensive experience with pass thru
entities (partnerships and S-Corps) is required.
