Job Description:

Our client, an energy provider, is looking for an ambitious General Ledger Accountant to provide support to the financial department by managing daily accounting tasks. In this position, you will be part of a team of professionals working to maintain order and transparency for the company's finances. Under the supervision of the Controller, this position will be responsible for accurate and timely input of adjusting journal entries, account reconciliations, financial statement preparation, and other related financial activities. This Mid-Senior level position operates onsite in Jupiter, Florida. Salary: $90,000 - $100,000 Hybrid work schedule Responsibilities Perform day-to-day accounting activities and month-end financial closing duties Posting journal entries Reconciling balance sheet accounts Preparing schedules and supporting documentation for Balance Sheet accounts Perform monthly variance analysis Assist Controller in monthly / yearly closings Preparing recurring entry templates, simplifying work papers, and other tasks to increase efficiency during the close process Assist with other accounting projects / reports Other duties as assigned Qualifications: Excellent organizational skills Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing Great attention to detail Excellent knowledge of MS Office BS/BA in Accounting, Finance or relevant field Qualifications (CPA, APA) is a plus but not required 4+ years in a corporate accounting capacity Demonstrated experience with monthly and quarterly close Must be legally authorized to work in the United States Ability to follow instructions and adhere to prescribed routines and practices Ability to complete assigned work efficiently and accurately Must be able to contribute to a cohesive team environment Familiarity with BI and/or Cognos is a plus If you meet the required qualifications and are interested in this role, please apply today.
