We are seeking a Data Recording and Instrumentation Engineering
Specialist for our West Palm Beach, FL facility with a focus on
high speed data acquisitions systems and structures measurements
while working in a test operations environment supporting
production and development rocket engine test programs.

Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each)
Working under general supervision the incumbent will have knowledge
of technical standards, theories, concepts and techniques within
the discipline and apply the knowledge to simple work assignments
to meet specific situations solving technical problems in
straightforward situations using experience and judgment.
25% - Responsibilities emphasize real-time plant operational
support including extensive facility and integrated systems
troubleshooting and immediate design correction analysis.
50% - Provide technician direction and actively participate with
rocket engine test systems setups, process verifications,
instrumentation and pre-run systems calibrations, data processing
and post-test data validity reviews.
25% - Participate in development program budget estimates and
provide implementation oversight of facility modification
engineering packages using industry standards and specifications.
Individual will work closely with multiple engineering
organizations to accommodate customer requirements and
expectations.
Requirements
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace
or other engineering discipline and at least 3 years of related
technical experience or an equivalent combination of education and
experience. Experience working with or around hazardous materials
and/or operations is desired.
Qualified candidates must be knowledgeable of engineering
principles and should have experience with an emphasis on the
following:
Requires U.S. Citizenship, U.S. Permanent Residency or other status
as a U.S. Person. Must be able to satisfy federal government
requirements for access to government information and having dual
citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this
requirement.
Work Environment/Physical Requirements:
Working conditions vary from working in an environmentally
controlled clean room (Assembly area) to working outside on a test
stand. Thework environment may require a combination of indoor and
outdoor activity (hot, cold, wet, humid conditions) with a varied
amount ofwalking, standing, sitting, climbing (i.e. ladders, stair,
scaffolding, ramps), balance (maintaining body equilibrium to
prevent falling whenwalking, standing, or crouching on narrow,
slippery, or erratically moving surfaces), bending, reaching,
handling/fingering (seizing, holding,grasping, turning picking,
pinching), stooping, kneeling, crouching and ability to
lift/carry/push/pull up to 25 pounds. While performing theduties of
this job, employees may work around variable noise levels or with
fume or airborne particles, hazardous chemicals, etc. requiringthe
use of personal protective equipment such as face protection
(safety glasses, goggles, face shield), foot protection (i.e. steel
toed shoes,rubber boots, etc.), gloves, hard hat, shop coat and
hearing protection. Some employees may be required to drive between
various locationswithin the Company facility or between locations.
Work duties may also be required to work in a standard office
setting and to use standardoffice equipment, including a computer
and/or the ability to travel by air or auto. Ability to distinguish
colors may also be necessary. Thisposition may be expected to work
varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of
activities in the organization.
