We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineer, Drafting and Design
to join our team in our West Palm Beach, FL location.

Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each)
Functions as prime contact for discipline technical
assignments/projects. Frequent interactions with senior management
and external contacts on significant technical matters often
requiring coordination between organizations. Performs a variety of
discipline assignments of diverse scope and complexity. Resolves
complex problems using judgment based on the analysis of multiple
sources of information. Referring to established discipline
precedents and policies. May provide guidance and training to more
junior personnel/staff.
40% - Create, check and maintain models and drawings for
engineering Product Definition. This includes, but is not limited
to, the creation of complicated Creo models and associated
drawings, checking of models and associated drawings, making sure
requirements are applied properly.
25% - Provide technical guidance to less senior designers and to
design support personnel.
20% - Provides accurate interrelationships and accurately performs
complex tolerance and geometric studies of complex parts and
assemblies, ensuring proper fit, manufacturing feasibility and
economy.
15% - Estimation of resources and schedule required to complete a
design activity.
Requirements
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or
Aerospace) and five (5) years of related technical experience in
engineering design, an Associate's degree and nine (9) years of
related technical experience, or an equivalent combination of
education and experience.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and a minimum of 5 years of
experience with CAD systems (Creo 5.0 or higher) along with
experience using CAD database management tools (Windchill). Expert
knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (ASME Y14.5).
ASME Certification in GD&T is a plus.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products required. Must
demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills and
must be able to operate effectively in a team environment.
May be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at
the appropriate level. Requires U.S. Citizenship. Must be able to
satisfy federal government requirements for access to government
information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from
being able to meet this requirement.
Work Environment/Physical Requirements:
Employees in these positions must possess mobility to work in a
standard office setting and to use standard office equipment,
including a computer; stamina to sit or stand and maintain
attention to detail despite interruptions; may occasionally
lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds; may require occasional
walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and/or bending; and vision
to read printed materials and computer screen, and hearing and
speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. May require
the ability to travel by air or auto. May require the use of
personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes,
and shop coat. These positions may be expected to work varying
shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in
the organization.
