Job Description:

Sr. Manager of Business Strategy and Operations / -Chief of Staff $100k - $130k Requires strong leadership skills a strategic mindset, analytical skills and project management experience. - Retail industry knowledge and service industry knowledge a plus. - The candidate selected for this role will work hand in hand with the CEO and senior management and be expected to identify issues, form hypotheses, design and conduct analyses, and synthesize conclusions into recommendations to help implement change. - Relationship management skills are a must as well as strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with management and clients. - Drive the development of long-range planning including identification and prioritization of key initiatives, financial and business case modeling Influence the organization's decision making by providing internal performance analysis and advice to management in the areas of operations, management, finance, accounting, pricing, and/or contracts. Monitor and report monthly / quarterly competitive positions Develop and monitor P&L forecasts and monthly budgets. Develop and monitor metrics to measure key performance indicators and group performance. Conduct on going market analysis market & competitor insights, consumer insights, macro trend insights Initiate ad-hoc analyses to solve business problems, create alternatives, and guide business and investment decisions Ability to collect, organize, and display data in spread sheet format and develop executive-level presentations for key stakeholders Develop and maintain effective cross-functional and cross-divisional relationships; cultivate a positive, collaborative, creative, results-oriented work environment driven by company culture and values Provide programs and processes to improve operational efficiency and consistency. Drive policies and procedures that monitor and support the organization's operational and financial business objectives. Drives process in work flow across departments for transparency, efficiency and ease of cross collaboration Oversees knowledge management and succession planning Strong communication kills that facilitates follow-through to get information from internal and third parties and have data errors/omissions corrected. Sales/Marketing - Assist sales manager to manage relationships with key accounts. Coordinate with marketing on key relationships Lead the evaluation of new business opportunities; assess market potential and partner with the Professional background: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in accounting, finance or Management, MBA preferred; 4-7+ years of professional work experience, with ideally 2-3 years in management consulting, corporate strategy, business strategy & operations Analytical Rigor: Structured and meticulous with strong analytical background and curiosity to peel the layers away for deeper insights Strategic Agility: Sees ahead clearly and can anticipate future consequences and trends accurately; can articulately paint credible pictures and visions of possibilities and likelihoods Financial & Business Acumen: Ability to evaluate financial and business indicators and translate data into actionable information to drive results Problem Solving & Decision Quality: Able to use rigorous logic and methods to solve problems with effective solutions. Demonstrates strong listening, written and oral communication skills Planning & Process Management: Demonstrate an ability to set objectives and goals and organize work appropriately to meet and exceed goals. Possess strong organizational and time management skills. Collaboration & Influence: Able to build constructive and effective relationships with a broad and diverse group of business partners to navigate complex situations. Can effectively influence and present ideas that lead others to action facilitating collaboration across teams to drive the business forward Excellent leadership, communication and presentation skills. Excellent analytical problem solving and decision making skills. Systems & Tools Expertise: Expert in Microsoft Excel
