We are seeking an experienced General Manager to join the team of our NEW Modern Asian Concept in Jupiter that is opening September 2022!Blackbird Modern Asian sits in the neighborhood of Jupiter that will bring the regional flavors--- and flair--- of Southeast Asia, Pan-Asian and more. With an inviting indoor-outdoor flow-which carries our guests from a sleek wood-paneled interior to our upstairs outdoor covered terrace-the restaurant spans 2 stories and features up to 200 seated guests in our booths, tabletops, and bar seats.We are interested in someone who will be responsible for implementing restaurant policies and procedures while managing and motivating staff to achieve revenue objectives. The ideal candidate will have strategies to ensure high standards of customer service are held, in addition to being highly motivated and a self starter.ResponsibilitiesTrain, coach, and supervise staffDevelop and manage staff schedulesEnsure compliance with food, health and safety guidelines and proceduresWork with management to meet revenue objectivesMonitor trends and develop and implement appropriate strategies to correct negative trends and improve salesCultivate and maintain a positive working environmentFollow and uphold company policies and procedures regarding the handling of cash, property, products, and equipmentMonitor and assess inventory to ensure product availability, and make orders as neededQualifications and Skills3+ years' experience in the restaurant industry, preferably with some management experienceEducation or formal training in hospitality, marketing or public relations is preferredHigh school diploma or equivalentAbility to work flexible hours, including nights and weekendsExceptional interpersonal and communication skillsExcellent organization, bookkeeping, and leadership skillsDependable and reliable
