Description: Registered Nurses in this role will work in a
Progressive Care Unit. They will provide care for patients with a
variety of diagnoses. These include congestive heart failure,
coronary artery disease, pneumonia, and chronic obstructive
pulmonary disease. Nurses are required to manage heparin and
cardizem drips at a straight rate. Travelers may float to other
units or locations as needed. Ratios are typically 1:5. Weekend
shifts are required, with every other weekend being the standard.
Critical skills include starting and maintaining IVs, procedural
sedation administration, and interpretation of dysrhythmias. Nurses
must also demonstrate proficiency in telemetry monitoring and
patient assessments. Additional responsibilities involve various
clinical management tasks and team collaboration. Candidates will
need to adhere to strict health and safety protocols while
providing excellent patient care. This position emphasizes strong
