Job Summary and Qualifications The manager demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgement, and leadership in the anticipation and planning for the care of the patient. The Registered Nurse is responsible and accountable for the planning, directing and provision of nursing care to patients in accordance with the Florida Nurse Practice Act, physician’s orders, recognized nursing techniques, policies, procedures, established standards and administrative policies. Participates in the operations and activities of the nursing unit, staff development and the accomplishment of departmental responsibilities in accordance with corporate, hospital, department and safety policies and procedures to meet company and regulatory requirements. Provides high-quality patient care by acting as a liaison with patients and their representatives, physicians and employees and maintaining the efficient operation of the department. What qualifications you will need: Current Florida license as Registered Nurse or Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions) Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date (RN) Registered Nurse Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital experience Minimum 1 year of experience as a full time Charge Nurse/ Coordinator, Nursing Administrative Supervisor, or Nursing Management in an acute care Hospital setting HCA Florida St. Lucie Hospital is a 229-bed acute care facility accredited by the Joint Commission.
