Position Details:
Title: Field Service Technician
Location: Company is based in Jupiter, FL, Candidate can live
anywhere, pref for (NJ, TX, TN)
Shift: M-F. Flexible for project requirements
Compensation: $65-75k based on experience
Travel: 60% to customer locations throughout North America
(Normally 2-3 days per week). When you are at home base you are
typically off. Each FST spends one week every eight weeks in house
doing phone support/customer service. Company provides credit card
and autonomy to schedule your own travel. Company has corporate
agreements with Delta and American Airlines and Hilton and Marriott
Hotels for travel.
Responsibilities
Commissioning of the company explosion mitigation systems.
Commissioning consists of:
--- Applying the company standards set forth in the applicable
checklist to verify the functionality of the company protection
system, including all the company-supplied components, both
individually and as an integrated system.
--- Ensuring that all components are installed in accordance with
our drawings and written instructions where the location of
components is critical.
--- Providing familiarization training for plant personnel
sufficient to provide a basic competence regarding the use and care
of the system.
--- If spare components were purchased as part of the original
scope of supply, reviewing the handling and storage requirements
for those components.
--- Emergency services in the event of system activation. In such
event, company's Services shall include (and be limited to)
verification of mechanical and electrical installation followed by
commissioning.
--- Participate in ongoing training.
Requirements:
--- Instrumentation and controls experience, minimum 3 years.
--- Electronics troubleshooting, and maintenance experience.
--- US citizen.
--- Ability to obtain a passport for potential future international
travel.
--- Candidate will be required to interact directly with plant
personnel and project managers for each project.
--- Travel by airplane for both short and long periods (one to
twelve hours).
--- Ability to attend training in FL for two weeks upon hire.
