GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:

This position requires 8+ years of experience in systems engineering related to turbomachinery for gas turbine engines, control systems, vehicle integration and development rigs as well as a demonstrated background in systems engineering, requirements management, product certification or qualification programs, systems integration, and supplier interaction / management. Experience with systems integration for gas turbine engines, engineering tools and processes, and aircraft systems. Prefer direct experience in turbomachinery production environment with responsibility for estimating and achieving FAA and customer requirements during development, qualification, and production. US Citizenship required for obtaining security clearance.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Applies advanced electronic control systems, designs, and assists in the manufacture of consumer products and in the development of new electro-mechanical concepts for new product lines.
  • Responsible for assembling components, preparing test plans, and supporting testing and validation of products.
  • Having wide-ranging experience, uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.
  • Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
  • Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
  • Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise.
  • Determines methods and procedures on new assignments and may coordinate activities of other personnel (Team Lead).
  • Other job duties as assigned.
    • Demonstrated systems engineering approach to manage production or development programs.
    • Ability to capture requirements from customers and stakeholders and effectively estimate, communicate, and track integrated product team progress.
    • Broad understanding of industry standards and practices (including DO-178, DO-254).
    • Ability to collaborate with program managers, customers, and team members to assist in developing products that meet requirements.
    • Possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the assigned duties, including computer skills.
    • Maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by company and government requirements.
    • Communicate and interact effectively with peers, supervisors, and public, including maintaining respect for others, and following company policies.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

      EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

      Required BS in Engineering

      Desired MS or above with a Systems Engineering focus

      Requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience
