Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent working experience in the field.

Experience / Qualifications: Minimum five (5) years' demonstrated experience managing Windows/Linux based server, Virtualization, and client and server applications. Industry certifications with MCSE, VCP/VCAP preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of LAN/WAN protocols. Healthcare IT experience preferred. Experience leading and participating in technology-oriented initiatives and projects
Experience with scripting (PowerShell) and/or development tools. Hands-on, proven expertise in developing technical solutions involving multiple applications to solve business and production needs. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly in working within teams and among stakeholders. Expertise in Linux, MacOS, and/or Windows systems administration in a professional environment.
Must have a passion for new and emerging technology and a constant drive of curiosity.
Experience with LDAP, DNS, SSO, MDM, SMTP, sys performance-monitoring. Experience with Oracle and Microsoft SQL databases. Evaluate hardware and software products regarding productive applications and cost-effectiveness. Monitor key server and storage performance metrics to ensure production applications are running efficiently and meeting service levels. Support the installation, customization, and maintenance of Windows/Linux based server environment, Storage Area Networks, VMware vSphere server farm, VMware vSphere VDI farm, Email, Storage Archiving Devices, CITRIX, and malware protection systems. Assist in the project budget preparations
Compilation and analysis of statistical data into reports for capacity planning and/or problem avoidance. Provide SME (subject matter expertise) to consult/troubleshoot client/server related matters for enterprise information system
Will lead and work with clients and vendor partners in the pursuit of solution architecting and configuration by leveraging industry best practices and frameworks. Knowledge of TCP/IP, UDP, VLANs, SNMP, DHCP, Proxy, Email, SAN, malware protection, AD, Print servers, WSUS, F5 load balancer, Rubrik Backup, VDI VMware Horizon, Citrix, Terminal Servers, SAN (i.e.: Nimble, Pure), server hardware (i.e. Cisco UCS, HP, etc.)
Advanced system designs skills, excellent verbal/written communication skills, documentation and inventory skills, organizational skills, solid analytical skills, and decision-making skills. Follow directions from management and collaborate with other staff.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Office.

Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Director of Technical Services, the Senior System Engineer is responsible for the integrity, reliability, and day-to-day support of the organization's system infrastructure. The Senior Systems Engineer supports the strategic initiatives for IT to be a technology-driven organization.
Responsibilities will include installation, maintenance, and monitoring of the organization's systems. The Senior System Engineer will be an active participant in developing and adhering to operational and change management policies. Provides guidance and training to other Systems Analysts. Participates in building IT Disaster Resolution strategies, solutions, plans, and exercises.
Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
Member of the on-call team. Performs other duties as assigned.
