seeking an experienced, results-driven professional for the
position of External Affairs Community Liaison, MiamiThe US
External Affairs team is committed to disrupting the enduring
racial disparities that define the HIV epidemic in the US. Our work
is focused on accelerating the response for the communities most
affected by HIV. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, complex
environment and work with local community leaders in HIV and beyond
is critical. It is expected that the successful candidate will have
demonstrated experience working within communities to achieve
change and address HIV, social determinants of health, or other
disparities. The ability to partner cross-functionally with other
ViiV Healthcare teams will be critical. Success in this role means
that we will have improved outreach and engagement in HIV care and
prevention for the most disproportionately affected groups in the

primarily responsible for the following: --- Engage with new and
existing stakeholders within the local community --- Encourage
collaboration among ViiV Healthcare's (VH) grantees and partners
--- Organize and lead local community engagements, connect key
partners in the HIV community, and identify issues and solutions to
identified gaps --- Keep an active internal stakeholder calendar
and attend relevant events, meetings, and conferences to gain
insights to enhance capabilities --- Develop a Territory Plan,
manage stakeholder interactions, and track metric progress ---
Gather insights on innovative approaches to HIV care and prevention
within local communities --- Deliver educational materials to
stakeholder groups and document all field interactions in Veeva
software --- Enhance learning and feedback from the local territory
to inform national programming with the US External Affairs team
--- Engage in a supportive, mutual learning culture within a
high-performing team of External Affairs Community Liaisons ---
Focus on efforts that support and extend the reach of US External
Affairs team programming to those currently out of care ---
Maintain a professional presentation at all times --- Learn,
support, and fully achieve all External Affairs Community Liaison
performance goals, priorities, and deliverables --- Exhibit
behavior reflective of ViiV's culture, expectations, and
valuesBasic Qualifications :
- 5+ years' experience working in community, business leadership
or health promotion role
- Experience in teaching audiences around health information or
experiences, developing strategic business plans
- Experience working in a pharmaceutical, city, county or state
government or other healthcare environment
- Ability to travel domestically as necessary, which may include
overnight travel
- Valid Driver's License Preferred Qualifications :
- HIV-specific experience
- Fluent in English and Spanish
- Strong connection to and understanding of HIV community needs
and the diversity of people affected by HIV
- Degree in Public Health, Health Policy, or Allied Health
fields
- Strong planning and organization skills, analytical ability,
business acumen, decision making ability, and problem-solving
skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Experience partnering cross functionally within a model that
