SandyPines Residential Treatment Center is a 149 bed Residential Psychiatric Facility servicing children and adolescents ages 5 to 17. The facility is located in beautiful sub-tropical South Florida and is nestled beside Jonathan Dickinson Sate Park which creates a rustic, roomy outdoor atmosphere. SandyPines is at the county line of both Palm Beach and Martin Counties and is just minutes away from the shores of the Atlantic Ocean. We are pleased to announce the following available position: Mental Health Technician (MHT) - PART TIME STAFF (only 20-24 hours)Shifts from 5:00 - 10:00 pm OR 6:00- 10:00 am Sunday thru Saturday total of 20-24 hours a week
Responsibilities:The Mental Health Technician (MHT), under the direction of a Registered Nurse, is an active member of the patient treatment team and will provide the following to patients whose ages range from adolescent through geriatrics, dependent upon specific units worked: Milieu management and continuous patient care supervision, interactions & role modeling to patients; ensure a safe environment, lead therapeutic MHT patient groups; conduct Q15 rounds and one to one patient supervision as well as participate in crisis intervention situations as needed. Follow the therapeutic interventions outlined by the treatment team for each patient and maintain awareness of patient's individualized plan of care including goals and interventions.
