The Laboratory Maintenance Associate is responsible to ensure the continuous, smooth operation of the Company's laboratories, which include R&D, Manufacturing, and Quality Control environments. Duties include maintaining a clean environment, ensuring the availability of laboratory supplies, maintenance of laboratory instruments and equipment in working order and ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
Description of Duties:

• 
  
• Daily cleaning of glassware, including loading/unloading dishwasher
  
• Washing certain glassware by hand when needed
  
• Responsible for keeping glassware washing machine in good working condition (cleaning filter screens and reporting all malfunctions)
  
• Daily sterilization of laboratory supplies using autoclave
  
• Daily laboratory walk-throughs
  
• Restocking of laboratory supplies
  
• Periodic freezer defrosting
  
• Wiping down/cleaning of laboratory equipment
  
• Maintenance of selected laboratory equipment
  
• Refilling water carboys
  
• Cleaning and mopping laboratory floors
  
• Performs other functions and duties as required
  
  Job Qualifications:
  
  • 
    
  • 1+ years of experience in a scientific industry or academic setting preferred but not required
    
  • Ability to organize tasks and work independently; ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing; ability to work safely alone and in team environment
    
  • Experience in a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) or ISO 13485 environment is desired but not required
