AutoNation is seeking a Sr. Manager, Rental Performance to lead
operational performance and continuous improvement across our
loaner and rental fleets. This role focuses on analyzing
store-level and company-wide data to assess program effectiveness,
identify performance opportunities, and partner with field
leadership to optimize results. You will act as a strategic partner
to store Rental Managers and General Managers (GMs), supporting
them in executing best practices and achieving operational goals.
You will monitor KPIs and provide actionable insights that drive
efficiency, compliance, and profitability across the rental and
loaner fleet operations. What You’ll Do: Oversee financial and
operational performance of rental programs across all AutoNation
locations. Partner with store Rental Managers and GMs to execute
best practices and drive operational improvements. Analyze data at
the store and enterprise level to assess performance and identify
trends. Monitor metrics such as utilization, profitability,
compliance, and customer experience. Provide insights,
recommendations, and performance benchmarks to store teams and
leadership. Standardize processes and tools to enhance consistency
and operational outcomes. Collaborate with internal teams (e.g.,
IT, Marketing) and external vendors to ensure program alignment and
data accuracy. Track and communicate progress on performance goals
to senior leadership. What You’ll Bring: Proven experience in
rental operations, performance management, or fleet
optimization—ideally within automotive retail or a major rental
company. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Project
Management, or related field. Strong analytical skills with fluency
in performance reporting tools. Excellent communication,
collaboration, and problem-solving skills. Experience supporting or
influencing operations across multiple field locations. Ability to
work cross-functionally and manage third-party vendor
